Star strikers Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani headline Uruguay's 26-man preliminary World Cup squad named by Oscar Tabarez on Tuesday.
Major League Soccer's Nicolas Lodeiro, 29, has also received a call-up, while Sampdoria's Lucas Torreira leads a six-man contingent selected from Serie A.
Uruguay finished second in the CONMEBOL qualifiers and will face hosts Russia, Saudi Arabia and Egypt in Group A.
The final 23-man squads are due to FIFA by June 4, with La Celeste opening up their World Cup campaign against Mohamed Salah and Co. on June 15.
