School children within the Kperisi circuit of the Wa Municipal Education Service turned out in their numbers at the Kperisi Primary School for the Bliss Eye Care outreach program, which saw the free screening of eyes of over 1,074 children. A condition described to have several factors of influance and various drugs given to the children. A very few number of parents could be spotted at the school premises as they held their wards by the hands, but most of the children especially the lower primarily kids turned out alone which was of much concern. This situation watchghana.com observed to be of worry as some of the children needed parental guidance specially that drugs were being given for onwards usage. A total of eleven refractive errors were identified at the screening and arrangements are already in place to have lenses provided to the victims. A single cataract case is also recorded and would be further treated. Madam Emma a teacher in the circuit was happy about the exercise explaining that some of the children with sight issues would at least get some remedies for from Bliss Eye Care as it was being carried out for free. Madam Sabina Bapono also a teacher in the circuit called on parents to escort their children to such exercises as some children as young as 4 years were present without any parent or care taker.
