Dr. Elias Sory gets backing in NPP Parliamentary primaries in DBI.

A former Director General of Ghana Health Services Dr. Elias K. Sory is strenuously campaigning across the length and breadth of the Dafiama Busie Isa constituency of the Upper West region to annex the parliamentary candidature of the ruling New Patriotic Party. The renowned medical practitioner is receiving a grand swell of support from several party big shots as well as the rank and file of the NPP in the constituency.
Speaking in an interview with Wa based W93.5FM, the 2016 parliamentary candidate for the party Lawyer Lwanga Bagonluri opines that Dr. Elias Sory has a superior level of maturity and experience to capture the seat from his junior colleague Dr. Sebastian Sandaare who is the NDC incumbent NDC MP as well as the re-elected parliamentary candidate.
‘We have elders and leaders in politics so my decision to contest in the last elections wasn’t mine but that of my people. This time around my people have asked me to step down for Dr. Elias Sory, I only served as John the Baptist so I only paved the way for him’. Lawyer Bagonluri added.
He also called on the delegates of the NPP as well as all constituents of the Dafiama Busie Isa constituency to rally behind Dr. Elias Sory so he would become the NPP candidate and ultimately become the Member of Parliament in the 2020 elections.
Dr. Elias Sory is a public health specialist who served as a Director General of the Ghana Health Services from 2007-2011.
