Vitamin-rich foods are very important in our diet if we want to get a healthy body and skin. Therefore, any vitamin deficiency will be very harmful to your body and it will prevent it from performing certain functions.
When you lack vitamins in your diet, the first sign that might be visible on your face is skin dryness and acne. This can be as a result of low level of vitamin A, E and B12 in your diet.
Another visible sign is puffy eyes. When there is low level of iodine in your diet, studies show that you could develop puffy eyes which may be more frequent.
Again, when you lack vitamins in your diet, especially, vitamin C, the rate of developing bleeding gums is high. To avoid this, add a lot of citrus fruits like lemon, orange, etc. Into your diet.
Finally, to those who have damaged and dry hair, this could be lack of vitamins such as biotin or vitamin B 7 in your diet. This is because this vitamin keeps your hair nourished. Lack of it in your diet can lead to dandruff - ridden hair. To avoid this, always eat a lot of vegetables, fruits, lean meat and legumes.
