The Leader and Founder of the Living Yahweh Seventh Day Sabbath Assemblies, Apostle Okoh Agyemang, emerged as the star of the 16th Ghana Leadership Awards (GLA) held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel. He took home two prestigious honors: the International Humanitarian Award 2024 and the Community Spirit Award 2024.
Apostle Agyemang’s achievements were celebrated in grand style, with his congregation present, singing praises and cheering him on. The awards recognized his exceptional leadership, community development initiatives, and contributions to national and international humanitarian services.
Rev. Professor Emmanuel Yao Nash, CEO of the Ghana Leadership Awards, read two citations in Apostle Agyemang's honor.
The first citation for the International Humanitarian Award 2024 praised his impactful work:
"With heartfelt thanks for your world-class humanitarian service and leadership, and by your extraordinary service at difficult times in people’s lives, you have improved, impacted, and contributed to the well-being of many people financially, mentally, physically, socially, spiritually, and emotionally in Ghana and across the world."The second citation, for the Community Spirit Award 2024, highlighted his efforts in community development:
"You created opportunities and demonstrated good leadership, dedication, and innovations for those who needed them the most. You also brought positive change in many communities with your humanitarian services, advocated, and helped foster a better next generation."The awards were presented to Apostle Agyemang by Bishop Francisca Duncan Williams, the ex-wife of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams of Action Chapel International.
Theme and Key Messages
The ceremony, themed “Refuse Politicians Visa until Elections are conducted,” underscored the importance of maintaining peace and democracy in Ghana. Rev. Professor Nash reiterated his call for embassies to withhold visas for politicians who might undermine Ghana’s democratic processes.

In his acceptance speech, Apostle Agyemang expressed his gratitude and pledged to continue his humanitarian work for God, humanity, and Ghana. He called on political parties, their supporters, the media, and the Electoral Commission to ensure peace and unity in the lead-up to and after the December 7, 2024 elections.
